Yaroslava Tsymbal was born in Ukraine and discovered her passion for art at a young age. In her early years, she enjoyed copying various illustrations and drawings, and by the time she was in fifth grade, she had become a student of a children’s art school in the town of Kobeliaky. It was during this time that Yaroslava fell in love with Petrykivka painting, a traditional Ukrainian folk art characterized by its colorful floral and ornamental designs.

As she got older and gained more experience, Yaroslava enrolled in a vocational school where she studied painting on wood and learned more about the art of Petrykivka painting. Under the guidance of her talented instructors, Yaroslava’s love for Petrykivka painting only grew stronger. She absorbed everything she could about the art form, and her dedication and hard work paid off.
